7 Ways to Include Your Pet in the Festive Fun

After what has been an extremely unusual 2020 for us all, the prospect of a relaxing Christmas is just what we need. With families up and down the country potentially spending Christmas apart, it’s important to remember that our furry friends are right by our side and they too love the festivities.

Here are our 7 top tips on how you and your pets can have the most wonderful Christmas this year...

1. Dress to Impress!

Let’s start off with fur fashion… We all love unwrapping a new Christmas dress, jumper or even sparkly bauble earrings so why not treat your pet pal to the same. Our brand new Wolf & Tiger festive range includes a smart Velvet Silver Bow and a stylish Grey Metallic Spot Gilet. Or what about our Cupid & Comet Turkey Dress Up Hat for when things get silly!

2. Count Down With Cupid & Comet

The tastiest way to include your pet in the festivities is definitely to get your hands on our Luxury Cat and Dog Advent Calendars. Enjoy the purrfect countdown with the meaty treats hidden behind each door. Don’t forget to make your pup or kitty work for their rewards - why not let them rummage and find the treats behind each door themselves!

3. Santa Paws Has Been

And of course, ensure Mr Santa Paws arrives for your pet on Christmas morning! Christmas stockings are definitely not just for humans, at Rosewood we have a variety of piled high stockings available for cats and dogs like the Cupid & Comet Luxury Dog Stocking, and for your small animals why not gift a Naturals Selection Box - Yum!

4. Paw-some Presents

Your furry friend is sure to be on Santa’s Nice List, and we have the perfect gifts to spoil them on Christmas morning. The Peek-A-Boo Santa allows for hours of fun, simply stuff with treats and the 3 squeaky characters provided and watch your pup enjoy a game of hide and seek! Your pup will adore our super soft, plush Festive Giggling Bear - it also makes a fun giggling sound when rolled.

Our feline friends are pretty independent, but when it comes to playtime we’re sure they’ll love to bat the Squeaky Sprout Toy between their paws (this also comes in a matching toy for dogs!)

5. A Feast Fit For King (or at least a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel!)

Did someone say cheese board? The Christmas cheese board is an absolute must have in many households but giving too much cheese to our pet pals is not advised - even at Christmas - so we’ve created a Cheeseboard Platter of dreams for our dogs to savour… Thank us later!

Not forgetting our small animals, the Treat N Gnaw Mince Pies are a perfect Xmas gift for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or in fact any day your furries deserve it!

6. Did Someone Say Nap Time?

Your mighty meal is cooked, you’ve eaten as many sprouts as possible and now it's time for the obligatory nap in front of the telly!

Let your small animals lounge with you in style with our Christmas Pudding Snuggle Bed. This super cute and soft bed lets your animals feel safe and secure at home.

7. And Relax…

With so much going on on the big day, from cooking up a storm to unwrapping gifts, there will be moments where the games and excitement become a little too much for your pets to handle.

It’s important to take some time out, and make sure your animal has their usual spot to rest and relax in. Leaving them for a moment with a Rosewood Giggling Interactive Treat Ball, Nina Ottoson Maze or Naturals Festive Floral Tree Challenge for your smaller animals, would be a nice break from the excitement in the house.

How will you be involving your pets in the fun this Christmas? We’d love to hear your recommendations over on our social channels @RosewoodPet.
