Travel tips for a pawsome trip with your pet

Whether you are planning a road trip adventure in the UK this year, or staying closer to home over the bank holiday weekend, travelling with your four-legged friend has never been easier.

With an increasing number of people choosing to explore more of what’s on our doorstep and take their pets with them, we’ve put together our top tips for a trouble-free trip with your canine companion:

Plan in advance

It has never been easier to travel with your furry friend with an increase in pet-friendly accommodation and activities on offer. Before you book, research the hotel, resort or campsite to check it has everything you need for your pooch. Don’t fur-get to ask about any restrictions or additional charges for bringing your pet - the last thing you want is to be presented with any hidden extra costs!

The UK is home to plenty of beautiful beaches and open countryside waiting for your pup to explore. If you are heading to the beach, just make sure pets are allowed during the time of year you are visiting: https://www.thebeachguide.co.uk/dog-friendly. Why not invest in our Reflective Swim-Easy life jacket, guaranteed to keep your pet safe and warm whilst playing in water?

Travel in style

However far you are travelling with your pet, Rosewood has a range of travel accessories to keep them comfortable and safe on the journey.

Our Bracco Travel carriers come in six different sizes, and also double up as a cosy bed for your pet if you’re staying in a hotel or camping.

The Collapsible Travel Bottle and Collapsible Food Bowl are a paw-fect way to keep your pet fed and watered during the car journey and whilst you’re out and about.

Talking of keeping pets fed, pack some of our new tasty Posh Eats treats for your trip - a luxurious twist on our Natural Eats range, including gourmet chicken and sweet potato, steak and cheese and pork and apple.

Keep your pets cool

Rumour has it that we are set to have an Indian Summer so help to protect your pets by offering them plenty of water and shade, particularly during the hottest parts of the day. Why not treat your pup to the Chillax Cool Collar to help keep them extra cool?

And, what better way to cool down than with a Pawsecco freeze pop? Made with Elderflower, Linden Blossom and Ginseng, they provide the ultimate healthy, refreshing treat for cats and dogs.
